AP Extra Credit Opportunity: ISIS Reflection Essay

WARNING: this is extraordinarily hard core.

No, seriously, this documentary needs to come with trigger warnings, warnings of its explicit nature, etc. If you are sensitive to these kinds of things, or if your parents would prefer you not examine subject matter of this kind, please consider the link to an alternative text that follows.

For a much less severe or confrontational presentation of ISIS/ISIL/IS, you are free to check out this article at Al Jazeera America instead. (You are also free to examine both.)

The assignment: write a one page reflective piece in response to the content wherein you explain your newfound position on ISIS/ISIL/IS.

This is due by 4:30p Monday, Sept. 29.

IB Film: TCM's Summer Under the Stars 2014

Attention, film lovers (and film likers, too), Turner Classic Movies is dedicating the entire month of August to 31 classic film stars. Go here and click on the "MORE>" button to get the day by day schedule. For example, tomorrow, Monday August 11th, is dedicated to Marlon Brando. The beautiful part of this is that you can watch the movies you missed online for free (or you can watch them on an iPad if you have one of those and subscribe to a cable service).

So anyway, this is a pretty good way to knock out some of those ten movies I assigned for your summer pleasure.

See you on the 25th!
